Time zone + email subscriptions!

For those of you that have the new version of Fuzzyshot (version 1.0.2), all of your times should now reflect your time zone. If you are still seeing a "PDT" next to all of your times, that means you need to log out and log back in through the application.

If your time is incorrect, please let us know by sending us an email at contact [at] fuzzyshot [dot] com. Please tell us your username and the time zone you are in so we can troubleshoot.

If you have daylight savings time, you may need to log out and log back in to update the time on your blog.

We decided to make all the times relative to the owner of the blog because partying at 1 a.m. should be partying at 1 a.m., and not 2 p.m. :)

We know it's hard to get your family and friends to keep checking your blog so we set up a simple email subscription service. Now people can subscribe to your Fuzzyshot for either daily or weekly updates.

Daily subscription emails are sent out at midnight and weekly subscription emails are sent out at 1 a.m. on Mondays (to let you take plenty of pictures over the weekend).

Please note this feature is still very much in beta mode so it's a work in progress. If your family or friends experience issues with this please let us know.

Subscriptions are only for public photos and do not require approval. Later on we'll let you choose which of your subscribers you would like to grant public and private access.

Cheers!

For me, the subscription thing worked out perfectly. It was not intrusive and only included the updates...very nice. It worked flawlessly!

cool deal with the subscriptions. Just wondering though, can we tell who is subscribing?

Right now there's no way to know who is subscribing to you. We want to come out with something soon that will let you manage your subscribers. Thanks for commenting.

Like v. said...I would like the ability to either see who is subscribing and/or manage who is subscribing. Maybe even the ability to (from an admin level) be able to subscribe family and friends without the ACTIVATE link...in other words, just subscribe them by adding them to the list...but allowing them to OPT out of course.

Thanks.
